It was an amazing moment when we first got introduced to मनRay Foundation and took this decision of introducing Spoken English for the students of Smt Madhukanta Gunvant Sheth English School. I express my appreciation to the wonderful Ray Foundation Team and I also thank each one of them for all their patience and dedication. Ray Foundation Team is a great example of how a school can work with students to make school life interesting and fun for the students. It has provided a multi dimensional platform for my students to get exposed to the outer world. Their optimistic behaviour is a testimony to the values and skills being imbibed through the teachings, encouragement and emotional support from the team members. All my students have really benefitted from the Spoken English Class. Even the Tiny Tots wait impatiently for the class. Last Diwali I got a forward message about a donation drive for toddlers. And it got me excited because for the 1st time a ngo was raising money to gift very young kids new clothes for diwali. Its was a fantastic initiative by Ray Foundation. And I choose to support it because it gave me a chance to bring a smile to their beautiful faces. We all love new clothes. And these young kids definitely deserved it too. मनRay Foundation even invited me to spend time with those kids and give the kids their gifts. It was the beat start to my Diwali 2019. All the kids greeted my daughter & me with big smiles. They touched my heart & soul. And I realised I would love to spend more time with them. This happened at an appropriate time in my life. My 4 year old daughter was spending more time at school. Which gave me more time for myself and I decided that I would love to spend atleast sometime with children who need and seek love, care & guidance. I immediately spoke to the Ray Foundation Team that I wish to volunteer and they welcomed me with open arms. As soon as the kids got back to school from their Diwali Vacation I took my 1st session of Spoken English. The happiness & satisfaction I felt that day was very overwhelming. I teach just one hour every week and I look forward to meeting my kids every week.

The idea of new clothes for Diwali appealed to my family n me. Usually used stuff is recycled n gifted. Secondly we could see n experience the pleasure of giving n saw with our own eyes it went to the right place. Great learning for my kids too.
Wanted to do some selfless work since quite some time but didn’t know where to start. मनRay foundation being a start up with the right intent needs to grow n reach to more children. My good friend Chaitali Nagada was associated so I knew this was the right time n place.
Giving a study plan is also making it easy to teach. And also the flexibility given to volunteers to filter the study plan according to the child’s caliber is what I appreciate.

Mrs Manasi Dalal and her team of मनRay Foundation is associated with Jan Seva Mandal schools since last 1 year. It conducts Life skills and spoken English classes for std 6 to 8 students at Kalyanji K Rajpopat school,Juhu and Smt Rajrani Malhotra Vidyalaya, Oshiwara . Activity based weekly lectures conducted by experienced faculty members are refreshing learning experience and are very much enjoyed by the students. *In its endeavor to make difference to the lives of less privileged, Ray Foundation has done series of activities at Juhu and Oshiwara schools . To name a few, – It distributed Snacks boxes to Std 6 to 8 students at Juhu and Oshiwara school before Diwali vacation . -On the occasion of Children’s day ,Ray Foundation organised Magic Show for Primary section students at Juhu school. – It also organised Story telling activity by Geetanjali Kaul for std.6th and 7th students at Juhu . – It Organised Play for Std 6th and 7th students at Oshiwara in association with Rangabhoomi.
